Dr Stephen Clifford
Stephen Clifford has a degree in genetics from Trinity College Dublin, and a PhD in population genetics from the Queens University of Belfast. Prior to working at FSI Stephen worked on numerous wildlife forensics projects at the Centre International de Recherches Médicales de Franceville, Gabon and New York University, and Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Stephen has worked as a DNA scientist at Forensic Science Ireland since 2008, and works primarily on cold cases and human identifications from skeletal remains. Currently Stephen is working on a number of projects using whole mitochondrial genome sequencing and SNP analysis for kinship/ IGG.
